A journalist reports that it’s just a matter of time before Mohamed Salah ends up playing in Saudi Arabia amid the 33-year-old’s poor run of form this season.
Almost every Liverpool player is struggling to play his best football, and Salah is no different.
After 34 goals and 23 assists in all competitions for Liverpool last season, Salah has just four goals and three assists after 13 games.
Yet, it’s far too early to begin considering his long-term future at the club, particularly after £466million was spent to sign players to support and complement him and the other talent already at Liverpool.
All is not lost at Anfield, even if results need to be turned around immediately to salvage the Premier League title race, but Mo Salah is their best bet at finding a new winning formula.
Mohamed Salah “will end up in Saudi Arabia one day”

Unfortunately, with poor form comes the inevitable rise in transfer speculation.
Even Salah, with 249 goals and 116 assists for Liverpool, is not immune to transfer rumours.
The former Basel winger has been constantly linked with moves to the Saudi Pro League ever since the PIF began to invest in players in Europe’s top five leagues.
Now, with Salah showing signs of his age, it’s one again the case that he is being linked with a move abroad. The 33-year-old signed a £480,000 per week deal last season – or £2m/month – which expires in 2027.
Report for TBR Football, Graeme Bailey says that Salah will eventually make a move to Saudi Arabia even if it’s not this summer. Bailey says: “Mo Salah and Pro League links won’t go away, but he doesn’t want them to; he will end up in Saudi Arabia one day.
“I can confirm that the Saudis’ offer to Salah is an open one, the deal is ready for him as and when he wants it.
“They are not talking to him now, and haven’t talked to him or Liverpool about a deal in January; they don’t really need to, they are ready when he is.”
It’s too early to talk about Liverpool selling Salah – way too early

The Egyptian may be struggling for form at the moment, but who isn’t at Liverpool right now? Dominik Szoboszlai might be the only player who can claim to be having a truly excellent season – despite playing as a right back at times, or recently as a holding midfielder, he also has two goals and four assists.
Salah’s four goals and three assists look, by comparison, all the worse. Yet, he is not just any player.
This is the player who won the Premier League, PFA Player of the Season, the Golden Boot and the Playmaker Award in one go last season with 29 goals and 18 assists in league football alone.
A more concerning problem is how little chemistry and fluidity there is since the summer’s massive transfer spending. Arne Slot needs to find solutions to the issues in Liverpool’s game play, and soon.
However, removing Salah from the picture doesn’t help at all.
