Liverpool are closing in on a deal to sign Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez.
Arne Slot did the unthinkable by winning the Premier League in his debut season in England.
While Liverpool fans have torn pundits and journalists apart in recent months for their lack of faith in the Reds before the start of the season, can they really be blamed?
Liverpool had just swapped the legendary Jurgen Klopp for a pretty unknown coach from Holland, only made one signing an it was an injured right winger that would get little game time even if fit.
To make matters worse, Liverpool had Trent Alexander-Arnold flirting with Real Madrid behind the club’s back all season and at left-back, it seemed as though Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas were having a competition to see who could play worse.
Yet, Slot got the job done.
And now, with Frimpong, Wirtz and Kerkez all set to be at Anfield next season, Liverpool have almost solved most of their problems before mid-June.
Liverpool extremely close to completing transfer for Milos Kerkez
Fabrizio Romano reports via X today that Liverpool signing Milos Kerkez “remains a matter of (short) time” as they get ready for final talks with the Cherries.
Romano says: “Milos Kerkez to Liverpool remains matter of (short) time, with final round of talks taking place very soon.
“The deal won’t be completed today but soon LFC will meet again with Bournemouth to get it done.
“Truffert will be his replacement at Bournemouth, as reported.”

Kerkez is exactly what Liverpool need at left-back
Robertson’s experience may well be needed even if Kerkez is the future of the left-back role at Anfield but, what Robbo lacks, the Hungarian defender has in excess.
At 21, he has all the physcial traits Slot would be looking for in Robbo’s successor and after being named in the Premier League Team of the Season, Kerkez may already be the best left-back playing in England.
He still has a ways to go to measure up to PSG and Portugal talent Nuno Mendes. The 22-year-old is arguably the best left-back in the world at the moment but Kerkez is by no means incapable of having a season like Mendes did.
