Liverpool are still showing a strong interest in signing Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram this summer, according to a new report from France.
The Reds have already completed a key piece of transfer business, bringing in Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton in a rumoured £35m move, but their midfield additions can’t end there.
Thuram has arguably been linked with a move to Anfield more than anyone of late, with the 22-year-old enjoying an impressive season for Nice, starting 30 matches in Ligue 1 and also featuring four times in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
According to Get French Football News, “talks continue” between Liverpool and Thuram over a move to Merseyside, as the Reds look to seal their second piece of significant summer business.
Thuram would be coming in as both an immediate key starter and a future star at Liverpool, hopefully proving to be an invaluable member of the team for many years to come, playing a major role in the midfield rebuild.
If the Reds could then also bring in someone like Manu Kone or Romeo Lavia, for example, it would complete a hugely effective summer in the market, at a time when big money needs to be spent after some barren windows in the past.
