Liverpool are reportedly able to pay a lower fee to sign Florian Wirtz than Bayern Munich as the Reds could be the beneficiary of animosity between the two Bundesliga clubs.

A report from This is Anfield references a claim that Wirtz could be offered to Liverpool for a significantly lower fee than Leverkusen are willing to offer to Munich.

Manchester City reportedly withdrew from the Wirtz transfer race over concerns the package deal to sign the 21-year-old could cost around the €300million (£252m) mark.

However, the report from TIA mentions a claim that clubs outside of the Bundesliga could receive a significant bargain on Wirtz so that Leverkusen can afford strengthening Bayern Munich while weakening themselves.

It remains to be seen if there is any truth to the claims but Bayern are reportedly being told to pay €150 million (£126.3m) while the likes of Liverpool can allegedly sign him for as little as €100 million (£84.2m).

Meanwhile German news outlet Kicker reports that Liverpool are set to submit a “concrete personal offer”.

True or not – Wirtz would be a game-changer and so Liverpool must do everything they can to make it happen

If you like looking at the data that is created by these world class players, please take a look at Wirtz’s FBref page. The number of stats that he is in the 90th+ percentile for is incredible.

Liverpool’s midfield has lacked a bonafide world class creator for several years ever since Philippe Coutinho. For the first time since 2018, there is a No.10 on the market that is perfect for and within their affordability range.

With 16 goals and 15 assists this season, Liverpool should be doing everything they can behind the scenes to get this one over the line.

The latest from the Daily Mail’s Lewis Steele is that not only does Wirtz like the idea of joining Liverpool, the Reds are going to push hard to sign him and “the money is there” to complete this signing.
