An “amazing” Premier League player doesn’t want to join Manchester United and could choose Liverpool instead this summer, according to former scout Mick Brown.

The Reds are still flying after winning the league title last weekend, but their focus will soon turn to potential new signings in the summer transfer window.

Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze has been linked with Liverpool in the past, and speaking to Football Insider, Brown claimed that he won’t join United in the summer, acting as a boost for Arne Slot’s men:

“His performance at Wembley has certainly done him no harm. He’s proved he can do it on the big stage with a lot of pressure and focus on him. Is he what Man United need? Are they good enough to get the best out of him? I don’t think so.

“From what I hear, he’s not going to be interested in a move to United. He’ll be looking at the evidence of players who have gone before him, he doesn’t want to become another example of what United can do to players.

“A move to Liverpool or Arsenal, who have been interested, would be much better for him. If you get good enough players around him, they will provide him with opportunities to do what he’s best at, and that’s being decisive in the final third.

“At a team like Liverpool, they have those players and they can afford to take the rough with the smooth in terms of what they get from him. Man United haven’t got that, so he would be an oasis in a desert at Old Trafford.”

Eze a great fit for Liverpool

Eze is a fantastic player who, with all due respect to a good Palace side, should now be looking to join one of the best teams in the country this summer.

The England international could be a great fit at Anfield, possessing the elite talent to shine for Slot’s champions, with Eagles manager Oliver Glasner describing him as “amazing”.

Eze mainly excels in attacking midfield, meaning he could provide great competition for Dominik Szoboszlai, but his versatility also allows him to shine out wide.

Now 26, the Palace ace is coming right into his best years, and while he cost a huge sum of money, he could be sensational in a Liverpool shirt.
