Liverpool have been scouting a player who could have a bright future in the game, according to a fresh claim from reliable journalist Lewis Steele.
The Reds have made signings for the immediate present who can be immediate key men, from Florian Wirtz to Alexander Isak, but planning for the long-term future is also vital.
According to a new update from The Daily Mail‘s Steele, Liverpool have been scouting Santos teenager Robinho Jnr, who currently plays alongside Brazil legend Neymar at the club:
“Liverpool have had a scout present at a number of the matches of Brazilian giants Santos this year – and Confidential understands they are there to keep an eye on the son of former Real Madrid and Manchester City star Robinho.”
“Robinho Jnr, 17, is on the verge of the first team at the Sao Paulo club whose famous ex-players include Pele, Neymar and Rodrygo, to name just three.
“Reds scout Dassler Marques has been present at many games this season watching Robinho Jnr despite the fact he is often a substitute.”
A special player for the future for Liverpool
As mentioned, signing teenage talents who can grow into superstars is of the utmost importance for Liverpool, which is why Robinho Jnr could be such an exciting addition.
Still only 17 years of age, the Brazilian starlet has already made three appearances for Santos’ senior team, also scoring four goals in 11 matches for their Under-20s, highlighting his attacking pedigree.
Meanwhile, Future Ballers have lauded Robinho Jnr’s quality on X, saying: “17 year old Robson Jr. is a technically refined, left footed and highly skilled CAM, recognised for his signature dribbling moves, skills, feints & flair!”
Predominantly a left winger, the teenage Brazilian can also shine on the opposite flank or in a more central attacking role, with his versatility also something that could appeal to Liverpool.
The Reds have a history of having some great Brazilian players in their ranks down the years, from Roberto Firmino to Fabinho, among others, and if Robinho Jnr were to reach his potential at Anfield, they could have another huge South American talent on their hands.
