Liverpool are on a four-game losing streak and may look to the transfer window for solutions to their struggles for form and fluidity this season.
Despite what some in the media claim, transfers won’t solve the problems Liverpool have.
Having introducd so much new talent, it’s going to take time for them to gel and perform as they should be.
Yet, the Reds are reportedly ready to dive back into the transfer market in the January window.
Liverpool planning January move for Antoine Semenyo as Arne Slot seeks answers to early-season problems
A report from The iPaper claims that Liverpool are “considering a January transfer for Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo.” With six goals and three assists in eight Premier League games, the Ghanaian is one of the most in-form playuers this season.

The report states that the interest comes as a result of increasing pressure on an “out of form Mohamed Salah”, with the Egyptian struggling to lead the line for the Reds like he did last season. Salah has two goals and two assists in league football this season, but his general gameplay is nowhere close to the level he established last season.
Tottenham and Manchester United are also interested in the forward, and Bournemouth are aware that they “face a battle to keep hold of Semenyo in the long-term.”
Liverpool have joined the race as they seek a solution to Salah’s form and his absence due to the upcoming AFCON tournament. Semenyo will not be attending AFCON due to Ghana’s failure to qualify.
Semenyo has a release clause, but the value isn’t known. The iPaper reports it to be in the region of £75m-£100m. Despite this, Bournemouth are reportedly desperate to keep the 25-year-old until the end of the season “at least.”
Liverpool need another left wing but it’s not going to solve all their problems
At the moment, there is a major issue at Anfield in terms of the general shape of the team in and out of position. The Reds are either too open when defending transitions or too far apart in buildup.
There were several worrying instances against Manchester United where Liverpool’s there was far too much space in all the wrong areas.
Buildup has been our biggest problem this season. There’s no clear idea, team seems to be unbalanced.
We then bring on more forwards, and struggle to do anything rather than long balls and crosses.
I don’t even know how do we fix this. pic.twitter.com/v3X0gJIL9M

Slot could do with another winger to rotate with Cody Gakpo, but the Dutch winger – despite playing poorly at times this season – is not the biggest issue facing the Reds this season.
Liverpool need to strike a better balance between attack and defence.
