Liverpool have reportedly been informed that they will need to pay £35 million if they want to sign highly-rated Brazilian youngster Eduardo Conceicao.
The Reds are said to be among several clubs showing interest in the Palmeiras talent, with contact already made between Liverpool and the player’s representatives as attention grows around the teenager’s future.
The Merseyside club has historically been cautious when pursuing South American prospects, but recent claims suggest they are increasingly willing to compete for elite young talent on the continent.
According to reports from Brazilian outlet RTI Esporte, Liverpool are one of several sides pushing to secure Conceicao’s signature following discussions with his agents.
The youngster is regarded as one of the most valuable prospects in Palmeiras’ academy system, and the Brazilian club are determined not to lose him cheaply. An offer of around £22 million from another club is believed to have already been rejected.

Palmeiras are instead holding firm for a fee of £35 million, which they consider appropriate for one of their standout youth talents.
Liverpool are not alone in monitoring the situation, with interest also coming from clubs connected to the City Football Group, as well as Newcastle and Barcelona.

While Palmeiras are reportedly in no rush to sell, they are prepared to give Conceicao opportunities with the first team before deciding on the best route for his long-term development.
