A fresh update has emerged regarding the future of a “world-class” Liverpool player, courtesy of Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol.

There is going to be much change at Anfield this summer, with lots of focus on which players the Reds will be signing ahead of next season.

They are also expected to be some outgoings at Liverpool, however, with Trent Alexander-Arnold almost certain to join Real Madrid, and doubts also surrounding the futures of the likes of Caoimhin Kelleher, Harvey Elliott and Darwin Nunez.

Madrid have reportedly been keen on signing Alexander-Arnold before the Club World Cup in June, but according to Sky Sports‘ Solhekol, the La Liga giants have “still not made an offer” to snap him up early.

It remains to be seen how forceful they will be in their efforts sign Liverpool’s vice-captain, but either way, he is heading to the Santiago Bernabeu at some point soon.

An early exit best for Trent and Liverpool?

The boos that came Alexander-Arnold’s way from his supporters in Sunday’s 2-2 draw at home to Arsenal made for uncomfortable viewing, although the Liverpool fans were within their right to vent their anger.

For that reason, the 26-year-old leaving slightly early to join may also be the best case scenario for all involved, especially as the Reds could reportedly receive over £500,000 if it happens.

It is such a shame to see how Alexander-Arnold’s Liverpool is ending, with the right-back producing so much brilliance down the years, with Jurgen Klopp is awe of his brilliance as a footballer, saying:

“He has been a fantastic player from the first day. An outstanding talent and he has turned into a world-class football player. It is rare as a manager that you are part of a journey for such a long time. Trent has never had a different manager so it will be good for him to get new influences in the future. But he can be happy with the steps he has made.”
Sadly, Alexander-Arnold has tainted his Liverpool legacy and has to accept that, ultimately choosing to leave his boyhood club on a free transfer when a big new contract could have come his way.
