Liverpool are making some very exciting and interesting moves in the transfer market this summer with Florian Wirtz and potentially Alexander Isak set to star at Anfield this season.
When Frimpong signed for the club, his move was overshadowed by the enormous excitement at what were rumours at the time circulating about Liverpool signing Wirtz.
However, he is a wonderful replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold even if there isn’t really a one-for-one swap for the Scouser.
Frimpong seems to be the perfect personality for the Liverpool dressing room not to mention he is an elite footballer that already knows what it means to compete for silverware.
Liverpool will primarily use Frimpong on the right wing
A report from the Athletic suggests that Jeremie Frimpong will be utilised as a wing back but will be primarily used by Arne Slot as a right-winger to provide competition and depth for Mohamed Salah.

“The Premier League champions have prioritised an elite front three in recent seasons, with two strong options in each position,” the report states.
“While on the left (Luiz Diaz and Cody Gakpo) and right (Mohamed Salah and Jeremie Frimpong) they have that available to them, they currently do not have an established first choice in the middle.
“Federico Chiesa is considered an option there, but Napoli and Al Hilal have been keeping tabs on Darwin Nunez. It is expected that a move for him will progress again soon.”
Liverpool finally have cover for Frimpong but this confirms again Conor Bradley will start

Before Liverpool released Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid, there were concerns about who would replace him but the club acted swiftly to recruit Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen.
With the rapid fullback on board, Slot now has two trustworthy options at right back with Bradley seemingly set to be the starting right back unless Frimpong can unseat him from the role.
Frimpong as a right wing would be a terrific option when Salah goes off or needs a rest. The English star is more than capable of playing either role and would also be useful in games where Liverpool want to close up shop and protect a lead.
Slot could take off Salah and Gravenberch for Frimpong and Wataru Endo and they’d be defensively reinforced a great deal.
