Dutch defender Micky van de Ven is one of the most alluring market opportunities this summer, especially if Tottenham are relegated on the final day of the Premier League season.
Liverpool simply need to avoid a massive defeat on the final day of the season to secure the final Champions League berth ahead of Bournemouth, with a goal difference of six separating the two teams.
Spurs, meanwhile, are still in danger of being relegated on Sunday.
If they avoid defeat against Everton, who likely relish the chance to relegate Spurs, they will remain in the English top flight for the 2026-27 season.
Tottenham are on 38 points, while West Ham are in the final relegation spot on 36 points and face Leeds United.
There are 9 possible outcomes on Sunday.

Micky van de Ven ‘would want to join’ Liverpool this summer if Spurs are relegated
Journalist Ben Jacobs reports that while van de Ven ‘would love’ to sign for Liverpool, patience is required as the Reds have not yet entered the race for his signature.
Jacobs said about Van de Ven on The United Stand: “Micky van de Ven, they (Manchester United) won’t make an approach unless Tottenham go down.
“If Tottenham stay up, I think Micky van de Ven will likely sign a new deal, but a bit like Senesi, quite an open situation.
“I have said before on the show, if Liverpool enter that race, Van de Ven would want to join Liverpool, but they haven’t entered that race.
“So, let’s kind of be a bit patient on that one because Van de Ven is only focused on trying to keep Tottenham up at this stage.
“From what I gather, he really enjoys playing under Roberto De Zerbi, but he’s not necessarily the kind of player that wants to drop into the Championship, even if he likes the manager.”

Ibrahima Konate has not signed a contract extension: He’s ‘totally the opposite’ of van de Ven
Just a month ago, Konate told the press that he was ‘close to an agreement’ with Liverpool over a new contract. He said: “We have spoken with the club and we are close to an agreement. I think everyone wished for that for as long as possible but we are in a good way… we are on it.”

Now, it looks possible he could leave Liverpool with a contract renewal seemingly stalled.
The Frenchman has endured a poor season at Anfield, but after his father’s passing earlier this year, criticism of his performance would be harsh.
If he does leave, van de Ven would be a fine replacement, with Jermaine Pennant saying he’s the total opposite of Konate.
When asked if Liverpool should make a move to sign the Dutch defender, Pennant replied on talkSPORT: “100 per cent. Because the way we play, sometimes we play up a high line, he’s got pace. He can get us out of a lot of trouble. He’s also good on the ball.
“He can run with the ball and those darting run-throughs, piercing the attack line. Konate’s totally the opposite.”
