Liverpool could be heading toward a significant summer rebuild, with several players potentially following Mohamed Salah out of Anfield.

Liverpool may be preparing for one of their most dramatic transfer windows in years, with as many as eight additional players potentially leaving alongside Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian forward has already confirmed he will depart at the end of the season, bringing the curtain down on a remarkable nine-year spell at Anfield. During that time, Salah has established himself as one of the club’s greatest-ever players, winning almost every major trophy available.

Speaking to the fans, Salah sent this heartfelt message: “To the fans…I don’t have enough words. The support you showed me through the best time of my career, and you stood by me in the toughest times. It’s something I will never forget, and something I will take with me always. Leaving is never easy. You gave me the best time of my life. I will be always one of you. This club will always be my home, to me and to my family.

“Another big problem for Slot is he keeps making excuses. Sometimes you need to hold your hands up and say, look, we were second best on the day and we’re going to do out best to improve. Thank you for everything. Because of all of you, I will never walk alone.”

However, his exit could be just the beginning of a wider squad reshuffle as Liverpool prepare for a new era ahead of the 2026/27 campaign. With a relatively small squad already in place, the summer window is expected to bring both departures and arrivals as the club reshapes its options.

Some players are approaching the end of their contracts, while others may seek moves in search of more regular playing time or fresh challenges.

Ibrahima Konaté

Ibrahima Konaté’s future remains uncertain, with the defender entering the final months of his contract and no new deal agreed so far.

If no extension is reached, the French international could leave Anfield on a free transfer. Real Madrid have long been linked with the centre-back, while Paris Saint-Germain could also emerge as a potential destination given his Parisian background.

Wataru Endo

Wataru Endo still has time remaining on his contract, but his limited involvement this season could prompt him to consider his options.

The midfielder has made only a handful of Premier League appearances, and with his role reduced, Liverpool may face a decision over whether to sell while his value remains or risk losing him later for free.

Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones could also face a crossroads this summer. The academy graduate has seen his playing time reduced in recent months, leading to speculation about a possible move away from his boyhood club.

Interest from Italy has previously been reported, with Juventus and Inter Milan among the clubs linked with the midfielder should Liverpool make him available.

Joe Gomez

Joe Gomez’s Liverpool career has been heavily affected by injuries in recent years, limiting his opportunities to establish himself as a consistent starter.

While his versatility remains valuable, he could look for a fresh start elsewhere. That said, Liverpool’s defensive depth, particularly with Konaté’s contract situation unresolved, may influence whether the club is willing to sanction his departure.

Federico Chiesa

Federico Chiesa has struggled to fully establish himself since arriving at Liverpool and may be among those considering a move at the end of the campaign. Arne Slot has flat-out refused to use him at times.

A return to Italy appears the most likely scenario, with Juventus previously linked with a move for the winger and expected to remain interested.

Andy Robertson

Andy Robertson’s future could also come under scrutiny after losing his regular starting role.

A proposed move to Tottenham Hotspur nearly materialised in January before collapsing late in negotiations. With his contract entering its final stages and Milos Kerkez now established as first-choice left-back, Robertson could be among those to depart.

Freddie Woodman

Goalkeeper Freddie Woodman is approaching the end of his current deal, although Liverpool retain the option to extend his contract by a further year.

Given the importance of maintaining homegrown squad numbers, the club may decide to activate that clause even if his long-term role remains uncertain.
