Liverpool have only themselves to blame for failing to beat Leeds United as yet another Premier League game ends with more questions than answers.

Another game, another baffling performance.

Arne Slot will feel somewhat bemused after watching his team go from an assured position at 2-0 to 2-2, to 3-2 up to 3-3.

Liverpool threw away a golden opportunity to climb to fifth position but must now accept their 12th-place position.

Alisson Becker – 5/10

While it’s hardly his fault, Alisson should have saved Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s penalty after guessing the right way. For Leeds’ other two goals, the Brazilian was blameless.

Milos Kerkez – 6/10

One of his better games for Liverpool, there was little to criticise other than it was an ordinary performance from Kerkez. The Hungarian has experienced a very turbulent start to life at Anfield, but recent performances suggest he will come good with the Reds.

Virgil van Dijk – 6/10

With his centre-back partner, Konate, regularly losing his head, it’s a good thing that Liverpool have Mr Reliable alongside him otherwise, things might be going a lot worse for them.

The Dutchman did have a brainless moment of his own when he tried to head the ball back to Alisson from about 30 yards, but other than that, it was a good display from van Dijk.

Ibrahima Konate – 4/10

After awarding him a 5/10 for his performance against Sunderland, it didn’t seem likely he could play any worse.

Aside from misplacing nine passes and losing possession on nine other occasions, Konate turned the game on its head with his dubious decision to slide tackle Wilfried Gnonto.

Until that moment, Liverpool looked destined for a rare spotless win.

Conor Bradley – 7/10

Returning to the team after injury, Bradley had a good game but his yellow card means he will now serve a suspension for accumulating too many bookings.

Ryan Gravenberch – 6/10

Guilty of holding onto the ball for too long at times, Gravenberch wasn’t his tidy best, but such is the Dutchman’s talent and consistency, it’s not a huge concern.

Curtis Jones – 7/10

Another good game from the Scouser saw him register an 89% pass accuracy as he set the tempo for the reigning champions. This season, despite the turbulence, has seen the 24-year-old come into his own.

Dominik Szoboszlai – 9/10

By far the best player at Liverpool Football Club this season, Szoboszlai was immense once again. Aside from his goal for the Reds’ third, he also created one big chance and played four key passes.

Florian Wirtz – 6/10

While by no means a bad performance, Wirtz simply didn’t light the game up like he did in his previous performances.

Cody Gakpo – 6/10

Like Wirtz, Gakpo had an ‘okay’ game but will likely expect better of himself in future games.

Hugo Ekitike 8/10

Were it not for the superhuman display from Szoboszlai, Ekitike would have comfortably been Liverpool’s best player on the pitch as he continues to shine since his move from Eintracht Frankfurt.
