Barcelona winger Ferran Torres has rediscovered his best form under Hansi Flick, emerging as a key figure in the Catalan club’s attack.

After a few inconsistent seasons, the Spaniard has once again become a difference-maker with his speed, creativity, and relentless work rate – qualities that have not gone unnoticed in the Premier League.

According to Fichajes, Liverpool are one of three English clubs keeping a close eye on Torres ahead of the summer transfer window.

Manchester United and Aston Villa are also in the mix, with Villa reportedly taking the most concrete steps toward securing his signature. Unai Emery is said to be particularly keen on bringing the versatile attacker to Birmingham.

Liverpool’s interest in Torres

Liverpool’s reported interest in Torres aligns with their ongoing search for attacking reinforcements.

With uncertainty surrounding the futures of Mohamed Salah and Luis Díaz, Arne Slot is expected to reshape the Reds’ frontline this summer.

The 24-year-old Spaniard, who previously had a spell in the Premier League with Manchester City, is seen as a potential option to strengthen Liverpool’s attacking depth.

Torres’ ability to play across multiple forward positions would make him an ideal fit in Liverpool’s high-intensity system.

His recent resurgence at Barcelona – where he has contributed goals and assists consistently – suggests he could offer the kind of attacking versatility Slot will be looking for next season.

Barcelona open to selling

Despite Torres’ improved performances, Barcelona are reportedly open to selling him if a suitable offer arrives.

Financial Fair Play constraints mean the club may need to offload assets to balance the books, and a bid in the region of €35-40 million (£30-34m) could be enough to persuade them to part ways with the Spanish international.

Will Liverpool make a move?

While Aston Villa appear to be leading the race for now, Liverpool’s interest in Torres could develop further if they decide to cash in on Díaz or Salah.

If the Reds do make a move, they would be acquiring a technically gifted, quick, and tactically intelligent attacker who already has Premier League experience.

With Barcelona willing to listen to offers, Torres’ future remains uncertain.

If Liverpool choose to enter the race seriously, he could become a valuable addition to Slot’s squad as the club looks to maintain its dominance at the top of English football.
