Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth has claimed that Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are “very likely” to sign contract extensions, in an exciting update.
The Dutchman and the Egyptian are now among the greatest players to ever play for the Reds, having become legendary figures since joining the club.
Van Dijk and Salah are both out of contract next summer, however, along with Trent Alexander-Arnold, and supporters are keeping their fingers crossed that they all sign extensions
Speaking to Give Me Sport, Sheth said that the iconic Liverpool pair are “very likely” to sign new deals in the near future, rather than leave for free in the summer of 2025:
A move anywhere else would feel like a step down at this point in time, so Van Dijk and Salah will surely stay on and continue to enjoy several more years at Liverpool, further cementing their legendary status.
As for Alexander-Arnold, his situation feels different, considering he is only 26 and could be tempted by a move to Real Madrid, but the hope is that he still sees his boyhood club as the team he wants to play for for the rest of his career.
