The mercurial and hot tempered Frenchman moved to Manchester United from Leeds for £1.2 million in 1992. It’s fair to you couldn’t take your eyes off him during his five-year spell at Old Trafford with the sublime mixed with a healthy dose of stupidity. Despite making 182 appearances, scoring 82 goals winning four Premier Leagues along with two FA Cups his time in the famous number seven shirt will always be remembered for his kung-fu kick back in 1994. It’s a shame because he dragged United to the title in the 1995-96 season with his efforts going a long way to eclipsing Newcastle’s 13 point lead at the top. Oh, and he scored the last minute winner in the FA Cup final against Liverpool too.
