Receiving a yellow card for taking off your shirt remains one of the most pointless rules in football and Inkoom is the latest player to fall foul of that charge but in the strangest of circumstances.
With an hour gone in the game, the board went up to announce that the Ghana international was being substituted. As he made his way to the sideline he committed the cardinal sin of taking his shirt off a few metres too early.
Not wanting to fall foul of FIFA rules, the pencil pushing referee handed the midfielder his second booking, leaving him stunned and his replacement facing a few more minutes in the cold.
