We all hate seeing our players get booked for their goal celebrations. It is such an unnecessary caution but is technically a rule of the game. However, I don’t think wearing a mask of your own face breaks even FIFA’s most wacky rules.
In a Copa Libertadores match, the Brazilian wonderkid made a mockery of the opposition’s defence and finished with a delicate chip to score a goal worthy of wild celebrations. But the 19-year-old simply took a mask of his own face from the crowd which he chose to wear upside-down and received his second booking in rather unique circumstances.
