With money to spend after the departure of a teenage Wayne Rooney to Manchester United David Moyes fashioned a squad capable of challenging at the business end of the Premier League with bargain buys Mikel Arteta, Marcus Bent, Tim Cahill, James McFadden, David Weir and Kevin Kilbane all out performing some of the leagues biggest clubs.
