Diego Forlan

A lot was expected of Forlan when he moved to Manchester United but I don’t think anyone anticipated Sir Alex Ferguson buying a striker who couldn’t score goals. It took the Uruguayan over 20 games to break his duck at Old Trafford but the goals never flowed as he failed to strike up a partnership with the prolific Ruud Van Nistelrooy. Despite his off the ball running and selfless graft he never achieved all he could in the Premier League.
