Brazilian goalkeeper Gomes has always been prone to a mistake or two throughout a season but has equally pulled off some stunning saves in his time in England. After the signing of Brad Freidel in the summer and the contract extension of Carlo Cudicini, Gomes has found himself second or third choice at Tottenham and so a January move is almost inevitable as his contract expires in the summer and he will not be in any rush to sign a new one. The £7.8 million signing from PSV in 2008 will be a target of many teams around Europe but Spurs will struggle to get back what they spent on the erratic keeper.
