Ba must be the best free signing in the Premier League for a long while now, after leaving West Ham; due to a clause in his contract when they were relegated; Alan Pardew snapped up the Senegalese striker and brought him to the North East. Nine goals in 12 appearances this season has more than repaid the faith shown in him by Pardew and without Ba, Newcastle would surely not be in the fantastic position that they find themselves.
