The Dutch international embattled midfielder broke Hatem Ben Arfa’s leg in two in October and seems to have, shall we say, a wholehearted side to his game. He achieved notoriety for his chest-high challenge on Spain‘s Xabi Alonso in the World Cup final, and also broke the leg of USA international Stuart Holden’s while playing for City against Bolton last season.
