This time last year Arsenal were in desperate need of centre backs, this year they don’t have any full backs. They also need a striker and despite the Arsenal fans on the web going into transfer rumouroverdrive you get the feeling that come February they’ll be disappointed again. Rarely does Wenger spend money and it is even more rare that he is willing to splash out mid-season. Arshavin is perhaps the exception to the rule. When some people hear the Arsenal manager says he doesn’t want to sign anyone they infer that he is simply keeping his cards close to his chest. Unfortunately for Arsenal fans however he is normally just telling the truth
