The eighties were notorious for their pop anthems with a few cheesy tunes making their way to the top of the charts during that era. One that, thankfully, didn’t make it anywhere near the summit was ‘Diamond Lights’ by Glenn Hoddle and Chris Waddle – affectionately known as Glenn & Chris. Why they took a break from football to record this feeble excuse for a pop song I’ll never know. Whilst it wouldn’t look out of place in cheese sandwich with extra stilton the then Tottenham duo’s lack of singing ability is there fall all to see. It peaked at number 12 in the charts before being locked away never to be played on a radio station again.
