The Anfield Rap was performed by the entire Liverpool squad prior to their appearance in the 1988 FA Cup Final. Astonishingly it reached number three in the UK Singles charts despite it’s lineup including Bruce Grobbelar, Alan Hansen, John Aldridge and even Ronnie Whelan. Even Kenny Dalglish lent his voice to some parts. Unfortunately for us all this foray into the urban music scene seemed to give John Barnes the rap bug.
