After his controversial move from Arsenal to Manchester City in 2009, Adebayor started the season fantastically, scoring goal for fun but then came a match against his former employers Arsenal at the City of Manchester Stadium. After scoring in the game, the Togo international ran the length of the pitch to celebrate in-front of the Gunners supporters which caused uproar in the away end. Also in that game, former team mate Robin Van Persie accused Adebayor of deliberately stamping on him, something that Adebayor was later given a three game ban for. Adebayor didn’t help things by moving to Arsenal’s bitter rivals Tottenham this summer.
