Just like Arsenal with Viera, United have never really replaced their midfield hard man since his departure. Keane was simply inspirational for United, practically dragging them into finals and winning games with his drive and ambition single handily. Always willing to put the club before himself, Keane was United through and through, and his position has never been filled. No wonder United fans have such an issue with players like Michael Carrick – next to the man that was Roy Keane, how could they possibly compete?
