Wayne Bridge

|

Signed in 2009 for £10m from Chelsea, Wayne Bridge’s move was extremely short-sighted from the player’s point of view. Roberto Mancini stated amid the John Terry affair scandal that “Wayne plays in the national team and he’s the best left back in England and the Premier League”. 18 months on and Bridge has been reduced to the odd Carling Cup outing and he’s firmly third in the left back pecking order behind Gael Clichy and Alexander Kolarov.
