Mido

|

During Egypt’s 2006 African Cup of Nations semi-final against Senegal, when Egyptian coach Hassan Shehata decided to substitute Mido for future Wigan striker Amr Zaki, Mido lost his rag completely. While airing his displeasure at the decision as he left the pitch, Mido then had to be
dragged apart from Shehata by a substitute as the confrontation threatened to escalate beyond control. Zaki went onto score the winner and Egypt went onto win the final. Mido was forced into a public apology and was handed a six-month suspension by the Egyptian FA. Just desserts.
