Liverpool transfer target and Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez has admitted that he would love to play with compatriot Dominik Szoboszlai amid speculation he could move to Anfield in the summer.

Arne Slot is in need of a new left-back in the summer and Milos Kerkez has been heavily linked with filling the role.

His form this season for the Cherries has been excellent and although he was criticised for how he played against Liverpool at the start of February, he was up against Ballon d’Or favourite Mohamed Salah so we’ll cut him some slack.

Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas have both failed to impress in Arne Slot’s first season at the club and while they are no means dead wood, there is certainly plenty of room to improve on the left side of the Reds’ defence.

YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano provided more information on Liverpool’s interest in Kerkez.

“Liverpool are tracking the player,” Romano said.

“Liverpool have been monitoring the player and Milos Kerkez will be in the list of several clubs including–but not only–Liverpool. For sure, (he) will be one to watch in the summer transfer window.”

Kerkez admits he’d love to join Szoboszlai at Liverpool

Speaking to Nemzeti Sport, Kerkez commented on his friendship with the Liverpool midfielder.

“I’m just focused on playing and winning as many games as possible with my team. A lot can happen in football, but it’s pointless to predict,” he said.

When he was asked about playing alongside Szoboszlai for the Reds, Kerkez admitted: “It wouldn’t look bad, that’s for sure. But it’s too early to talk about something like that. I have big goals with Bournemouth, we still have a lot of games to win, that’s the most important thing right now.

“We get along really well off the field,” Kerkez said. “I try to pay attention to him because he needs attention, the poor thing!”
