A new report claims that a Liverpool player who Arne Slot has spoken highly of this season now wants to leave the club in the January transfer window.
The Reds could enter the transfer market next month if Michael Edwards, Richard Hughes, and Slot feel that reinforcements are needed.
It may be that Liverpool wait until the end of the season to conduct important incoming business, though, considering the quality already in their squad.
It looks like one player could be heading out of Anfield, however, with Federico Chiesa believed to be eyeing an exit, according to Foot Mercato.
“He assisted, although it was a shot on target that was promoted by Diogo to a goal. He worked really hard. I think it’s normal that he’s not already in the top of his ability. He has to get used to the club, he has to get used to his team-mates, he has to adjust to the playing style. It was very good to see how match-fit he already is, so that we can use him if we need him.”
Hopefully, Chiesa stays put at Liverpool and fights to prove himself in the coming months, but it goes without saying that more is needed from him, both in terms of fitness and impact on the pitch.
