Liverpool are set to shell out £8million on Rangers young defender Danny Wilson in the summer, according to caughtoffside.com. The Scotland Under 21 international has been impressive since breaking into the Gers starting eleven and has attracted the interest of many clubs south of the border, including Manchester United and Arsenal. At 18, Wilson has many years ahead of him and Rafa Benitez is keen to land the highly rated centre-back if he has the funds in the summer to finance a deal. If a transfer does go ahead, there is a likelihood that Wilson will be loaned straight back to the Scottish club for a further season so the youngster can gain further first team experience. Such a deal may persuade Rangers boss Walter Smith to sell to the Anfield club as it would suit both parties.

Wilson would be a good signing and at £8m and loaned back Rangers would bite your hand off,any true Liverpool fans would take nothing to do voting for YNWA except if it was in connection to LFC,and not to the beggars who stole it off you,they can’t beat Rangers at anything themselves,so as usual they go crawling for support,so don’t vote,they’re only lieing to you,cheers.

8m is nothing for a decent player with potential, just look at the tens of millions wasted in the EPL over the last few years.

The report seems like a good deal for rangers and liverpool. However the player will probably treble his wages and be loaned back into a team where he was previously on the lowest wage. Reckon, this is bound to effect team morale at Ibrox.
this Danny boy is in so much hype recently. his price is inflated, we should not go more than 5 millions for these unproven player.
