Rumour Mill: Rafa after Reds Midfielder in January?

|

According to fcinternews.it, Inter Milan manager Rafa Benitez is targeting Liverpool midfielder Lucas in the January transfer window. According to the website, the former Reds boss has been keeping tabs on the Brazilian and could be interested in bringing the player to the San Siro. Lucas was previously the subject of interest from Palermo in the August transfer window. Benitez also looks set to make an offer for another player based in England. Gary Cahill, who was linked with Liverpool when Benitez was still manager, is interesting Benitez and Inter Milan, but they would have to pay at least £18m to prise the defender away from Bolton, who made his debut for England after coming on for the injured Michael Dawson against Bulgaria on Friday.

Rafa can have Lucas for £7-£9M as thats the region he brought Lucas to our club.

And Then that £7-£9M should be re invested on Lassana Diarra of Real Madrid.

And then we could Have a solid, compact, destructive, hard to break down, creative centre midfield partnership.

    Lassana Diarra and R Meireless

And the Stevie G could be let loose just in front of them.

Rafa come get him asap, as He is not cutting it at Liverpool and never ever will.

COMEON………..!!! Stop this … This is 2 much… When ever someone talks about lucas our fans starts 2 booing him. Wht wrong has he done for the club. If see th stats he ws a consistent player last season …. !!! Some say he nt fit to wear a reds shirt y so… Has he been the reason for our downfall …no not at all… I m a fan of Lucas he plays gr8 if played behind gerrard… If u doubt it see the replay of benifica vs liverpool 2nd leg., and he is just 23 yrs old and an brazilian international. We can expect a bigger picture frm him. Stop this booing and start to motivate him. He needs our fans back up. A true Liverpool fan wld support thr players in hard times nt punish him.YNWA

Stop worrying about Lucas, in January lfc we be owned by someone else, a new transfer strategy will b in place etc, worrying about it now is pointless, as 4 Lucas himself, I am indifferent to his form, but much more confident that he will respond well to Roy,s management style, blaming Lucas for last seasons performance is wrong. Lucas didn’t sub torres for a less attacking player etc, support your players give them hope and time to respond to that hope,

  • philip says:

I hope this rumour is true. We need to cash in by selling the player. I have no worry about Liverpool firt Eleven without Lucas or Macherano…

  • live4pool says:

this would be one of Rafas greatest moves… for Liverpool

  • Lucas leave ASAP, join stupid RAFA
although I don’t think Rafa will survive at Inter anyway

  • Rusty says:

The anti Lucas agenda makes me think that perhaps Lucas deserves to leave LFC and play for a club that will support him, rather than deride him.
Thankfully Lucas is far too professional a character to respond negatively in the situation. I’m glad that internally the club treat him with more respect.

  • Miereles says:

At the start of last season it was said it was a make or break season for Lucas – for me he was one of the few positives in a disastrous season…

People really need to stop this negativity towards him…I hope people have the decency to be more humble when they are proved wrong…I hope some of enjoy humble pie…I guarantee you will be having some in due course…
