With Liverpool’s up turn in form under Kenny Dalglish, I look at which players have been re-vitalised by the return of the King.

Pepe Reina – Started the season with a few uncharacteristic mistakes but has recovered his form in recent weeks. Dalglish Effect: 5/10

Glen Johnson – Was terrible in Roy Hodgson’s last game in charge against Blackburn Rovers but has recovered to perform quite adeptly defensively out of position at left back under Dalglish. His attacking play has been stunted a little though due to the fact he has to cut inside. Dalglish Effect: 7/10

Paul Konchesky – Has not featured under Kenny Dalglish since his appointment and is said to be in “advanced talks” over a return to Fulham. Dalglish Effect: 0/10

Daniel Agger – Has started all five matches since the return of Kenny as manager and has been part of a defence that has kept two clean sheets in a row. Dalglish Effect: 8/10

Martin Skrtel – Has been well off form for the majority of the season. Needs a player with pace and intelligence alongside him as shown when the Reds capitulated in the second half against Everton when Agger was replaced by Soto at half time. Dalglish Effect: 6/10

Dirk Kuyt – The Dutchman has had a few more injuries this season but he still continues to put in hard-working performances on the right hand side. The appointment of Dalglish hasn’t changed much. Dalglish Effect: 5/10

Maxi Rodriguez – Got his opportunity after injuries and suspensions to Joe Cole and has grabbed his opportunity with both hands. Not always the most consistent player but Kenny has already stated he rates the player. Dalglish Effect: 6/10
