Which of these three players should take on Bale tomorrow?

Liverpool take on Tottenham in Sunday and there is already a lot of talk as to who is going to be playing right-back for Liverpool during that game and have the responsibility of marking Gareth Bale. Personally, I think Bale is overrated but he does have lots of pace which is always a threat.

Now Liverpool have been struggling with injuries to key right-backs, Glen Johnson and Martin Kelly. Johnson is still out injured but Kelly could be back to face Spurs but will he be fit enough to start the game on Sunday and contend with Bale’s pace?

Martin Skrtel has been filling in at right-back over the last couple of games and Kenny Dalglish has praised the centre-back for playing in an unfamiliar position. Dalglish said:

“He’s been playing out of position but it’s been no problem for him. He came on against Bolton and was very, very comfortable.”

There is also a chance that young Flanagan could be could back into the starting lineup at right-back.

“Hopefully I can get back in the team – that’s my target. We’ve got a few injuries at the moment so maybe I’ll get another chance soon. When I do get back in there I’ll have to show what I can do. Kells is back in training so it all depends what Kenny wants to do but if he needs me at Tottenham I’ll be ready.”

Who do you think should start at right-back against Spurs on Sunday?

You say Bale is overrated by who the only thing that has stalled young Bales superb progress is the dirty swine you signed Adams high on energy the 12 man in the North West. You can play all three if Bale is on form and fit it wont matter and if Lennon is fit you will have trouble on both sides 4-2 TO Spurs

If teams defend deep and double up on Bale on the left he needs to have a great game just to have an impact same as for any winger. Because beating two players with no space to run into behind is very hard against any Premier League standard defenders.

Due to injuries and the surprise factor Harry may well have him and Niko switching flanks several times during the game so you might not see Bale on the left touchline too much. He will probably be cutting in on the right going for goal just as often.

That is when it becomes difficult for Liverpool not knowing where he is. Also if you defend deep to nullify Bale’s pace any ball into the box is a target for Adebayor’s head.

Make no mistake Spurs will be on the attack tomorrow. We are at home and attack is the Spurs way and Harry’s way too. But also because Liverpool’s attack is scary and we need to keep you on your back foot. I think you will do well to get a point.
