Liverpool will have to be wary of the threat posed by this man

Jurgen Klopp takes his Liverpool side to Vicarage Road on Sunday lunchtime to take on high-flying Watford, a team that currently sit two places and one point ahead of Liverpool in the Premier League table.

Having taken just the one point from games against Newcastle and West Brom in recent weeks, the pressure will be on Klopp’s men to repay the fans for their support during the final moments of the draw at home to West Brom last weekend.

The Reds will go into the game with a relatively strong squad, particularly with the return of Philippe Coutinho last weekend and the skipper now back to full fitness.

However, the absences of Daniel Sturridge and James Milner will again be a blow to the team, whilst the injury to Dejan Lovren a week ago is likely to see Kolo Toure deputise in his absence.

For Watford, it’ll likely be a case of ‘same as you were’ from last weekend, although the returning duo Valon Behrami and Sebastian Prodl could feature.

After seeming to struggle against strong, pacy forwards in recent weeks, Liverpool will be wary of the threat posed by Odion Ighalo which may mean the return of Lucas to help shore up a defence that has let in four in the last two Premier League games.

The home team will pose a particular threat too, considering they’re on a great run at present, with three straight wins over Sunderland, Aston Villa and Norwich and Liverpool will have to be in great form to take the points.

With that in mind, Jurgen Klopp may opt to leave Christian Benteke on the bench, instead going with a front three, including Roberto Firmino as the ‘false nine’ role.

Either way, Liverpool need three points. Anything less and questions may start to be raised about the current squad.
