Liverpool defender Kolo Toure doesn’t know whether the Europa League final on Wednesday night against Sevilla will be his last game for the club.

Speaking at the pre match press conference alongside manager Jurgen Klopp, the Ivorian was asked about the Europa League final and his own future, he replied:

“You need to give everything you can on day & enjoy the journey because you will remember it for years. Your kids will talk about it. Everywhere I have been I have been winning trophies and it would mean a lot to me because relationship I have with fans is amazing.”

“I am a team player. The manager knows who will play the game. What is important is that we win. I don’t know (if it will be my last appearance) but most important thing is to win. I don’t think about anything else.”

In the same press conference manager Jurgen Klopp refused to answer a question regarding Toure’s future at the club. He did not want to discuss the situation as he believes the discussion should stay between the player and the club. The 35 year old has been in fine form this season and is expected to play alongside Dejan Lovren in the centre of defence in the final in Basel.

The centre half has become a cult figure during his stay on Merseyside and many Reds fans would like the charismatic veteran given a new one year deal to stay at Anfield.
