It’s been one of the dullest transfer windows for some time for the Reds this winter but things might just be about to change.
Going into this January market we felt that Jurgen Klopp and FSG were going to do some serious business to enhance our title challenge but up until now it appears we’ve missed out on any linked player.
According to the print version of Portuguese outlet A Bola (via The Metro,) the Reds are in talks to sign William Carvalho from Sporting Lisbon in what would be a decent deal in our opinion.
The Portuguese midfielder can play the holding role as well as most in Europe and won EURO 2016 with his country last year so there’s every chance he could do a good job for us.
Certainly, we need a holding player at the moment and with Emre Can struggling in particular recently we may be about to sign a new player at last.
