After coming off the bench to score the winner on his professional debut at Upton Park, the striker was hyped up as being the next big thing in English football. Unfortunately Sears has gone on to score once more for West Ham in three and half years and failed to hit the net on three seperate loan spells in theChampionship either. He is now surplus to requirements at Championship club West Ham.
