Lauri Dalla Valle Match Report vs Leicester City

12th Jan – Liverpool 5 – 1 Leicester City (FA Youth Cup) – Dalla Valle returned from injury with a magnificent first half hat trick earning him a deserved man of the match by LFC.TV. Tom Ince and Michael Ngoo also scored on the night but it was Dalla Valle’s performance that shone through. He scored his first goal within six minutes after a fantastic cross from Ngoo which saw the Finn expertly finish with his head. Remarkably it took only another eight minutes to score his second as Christopher Buchtmann cut in from the wing and unleashed a bouncing shot which Leicester goalkeeper Robert Ambrusics could only divert into the path of Dalla Valle who finished with poise from six yards. The striker completed his hat trick on 33 minutes shrugging off the attentions of a defender and slotting the ball with aplomb in off the post. 5-1 winners and the Reds had the young Finnish starlet to thank.
