23rd Jan – Liverpool 1 – 2 Wolves (FA Premier Academy League) – Another impressive display from Finnish striker Dalla Valle could not prevent Rodolfo Borrell’s side going down to another defeat. Dalla Valle scored the equalising goal on 22 minutes after Andre Landell put Wolves ahead. In the second half, the Finn had a great chance to put the young Reds into the lead but he could put enough power on a shot from a tight angle and his effort was saved by Wolves keeper Aaron McCarey. The Under-18s then went a goal behind after another goal by Landell with 10 minutes, but Dalla Valle nearly snatched a point a few minutes later after his header whistled past the post.
