In what is quickly becoming one of the most persistent transfer rumours of the summer, CaughtOffside.com is reporting that Liverpool want to sign Bolton defender Gary Cahill this summer. Rafa Benitez is apparently a keen admirer of the 24 year old and is prepared to offload players to fund any such move. The site believes the player will be valued by Bolton at £12million and such a big price tag would mean Benitez would need to find money from player sales to get his man. The Liverpool manager is keen to improve his defensive options at the back after some poor displays last season and it is believed that Cahill is of particular interest as he would add to the “homegrown” quota that is required by the Premier League next season.

who cares about this player,,, really what has he done to even be rated at 7-8 million, another english over hyped player with next to nothing to show for his average 6 months to 1 year show,,, this guy is not fit to lace aggers shoes and is so average in the air. for what i can see the center back option is not what we should be looking at; however the world cup is nearly here and already we have seen players go from the market.
david villa has gone, silva as i know it has signed a pre agreement with that club, yes who else, real! however jose doesnt want silva that is why the deal is not done, city are now in for silva, we have no chance as we did not have a chance of landing him any way, there is talk of city going for another great young player javi martinez, we would love him but he is out of our price range, thats if we have one! so hes gone, then there is capel, he has signed a deal at that average club seville, why he stays there is anyones guess, at least they have better owners then we do! then you have joe cole, looks like man utd then maybe spurs, then we have mata who looks like he is staying at valencia,,,, so say day by day good players are becoming at least very hard to get even staying at thier respected clubs, players like simao and wright phillips abd dead beats form man city are more in our price range, but before you get to over the top, we do not need or crave ireland, they are not what reina torres and so on where calling quality?
it just shows no sign of getting better.
