Redknapp: Cole “might well have already done something”

|

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has suggested that Joe Cole might have already sealed a deal with an unnamed club. The Spurs boss believes that the 28 year old will not be going to White Hart Lane:

“It looks to me someone’s going to make a great free transfer, if he doesn’t stay at Chelsea. I genuinely don’t know who that is. I don’t think it’s going to be Tottenham. I’ve got a feeling, I may be wrong, that he’s already agreed a deal with someone, and it’s not Tottenham. I’m not saying if he hadn’t agreed a deal with someone and he was available and didn’t stay at Chelsea that we wouldn’t be interested. I’m a big fan of Joe’s, but the feedback we’ve had is that he might well have already done something.”

The Chelsea midfielder was named in England’s 23 man squad for the World Cup yesterday and has yet to sign a new deal with the London Club.

Is it too much to hope to see him with the reds? I fear yes.

needs to get that stupid contract that he wants at chelsea for 130 a week, he needs to prove himslef again before some mug gives him that, the greed of these players nowadays is disgusting… not for me unless he comes at around 75 -80 k which is more in line with what we pay, he is know where near gerrard and torres on the wages front so,,, he needs to check himself and start again with his crazy demands he made,, even chelsea did not go that high?
