Rumour Mill: Inter ready to steal our Serbian Summer Signing?

|

Inter Milan are planning an approach for Liverpool bound Milan Jovanovic, according to Italian newspaper La Repubblica. New coach Rafa Benitez is ready to risk the wrath of his former club by offering the Serbian international a contract. It was believed that the Reds had already finalised a Bosman move for the 29 year old but it is believed that a deal for the striker has yet to be secured, and the paper believes Inter will now swoop fo the player to bring him to Italy. The paper believes that discussions over a possible deal have already begun with Inter sporting director Marco Branca, as Liverpool stall on the deal until a new manager is put in place. It is believed that the Standard Liege attacker would provide cover for Diego Milito if the move goes ahead.

What wrath? Wrath of a club managed by a group of morons who sacked a manager while on family holiday without a replacement in sight and for the first time in its otherwise proud history!!! A manager not demanding an incease in his personal salary but funds to buy better players! Get a grip. I would have no complaints if Inter or Benitez did exactly that. We have no moral grounds to stand on at this time given the unscruplous bunch representing the club.

This Liverpool saga gets funnier every day.

    JUST REMEMBER

It could be much worse man city owners enquired about the sale of Liverpool before they purchased man city but were refused

phew how lucky was that ?

  • Lfc4life says:

    Well said kaleem!

Wasn’t Milan only coming to Liverpool if rafa was in chArge?
Now that rafa has been forced out, don’t be surprised if a few are on the way out with him…
Only fringe players are happy to see rafa leave and fake fans!

H&G are well on the way to destroying our club!

  • Lee says:

    FAO LFC4LIFE

Rafa deserved the sack and should have gone earlier had he not hidden behind the Hicks Gillet smokesceen.

Unfortunately, idiots like yourself who are completely averse to change, uneducated in terms of football and happy to settle for mediocrity are what is making our club look like a laughing stock.

Getting rid of G&H would be a start but you blinkered fools need to change your mindset too.

As for Milan, well it would be shame for him to leave but such is life.

  • Lee says:

…and by leave I mean join Inter. (the assumption is that he’s ours to lose)

  • let him go he’s s**t anyway, another sean dundee or voronin

  • craig says:

i agree with lee all you rafa fans go and support inter he failed at liverpool to stuburn for his own good rafa thought he was bigger than lfc and kept on living on the past of 5 YRS ago in istanbul

  • RJ says:

living on istanbul? last season he got we finished second with 90 points ANY other season n we wouldve won the league, we got the fa cup and then a CL final in 2007

HE WAS A GOOD MANAGER, you thickle fair weather fains dont see that H&G mainly G are to blame!

  • m kop says:

Relax you guys it’s not like they are stealing a real signing.
    You’re making me laugh.
Just wait and see they are plenty more free players from Belgium, Bosnia, Bozvana…

I was wandering how Liverpool missed out on Chamakh whan he was free and sick of Arsenal becouse they didn’t mach aking price for him, I will not be crying about a bench warmer, if that.

  • karim says:

oh come on get over it, rafa is now part of our history, who gives a monkey what he does now.

  • Lfc4life says:

Lee- You have obviously accepted a minimum of another 3yrs without the prem!
With rafa, less last year every was an improvement in terms of the league.
Now whoever comes in will need time to settle so that’s 1 season gone. Then the following season if we don’t win it, you will say him a break it’s only his 2nd season and if he still hasn’t won shite it’s time for what YOU call change!
Unlike you boys I support The staff, the Players and the manager Not the owners who are in it for there pocket!

So you can go and support The yanks and the mancs and take your boyfriend craig with ya!

  • Lfc4life says:

    Oh and one more thing….

If tomorrow H&G wanted to buy a prem club would any fans want them…..
    Nobody!

Everyone except for a few media influenced fans know just how wanted rafa is…
But then I guess Real, Juve and the European champs inter haven’t got a clue either!

  • craig says:

rj second is nowear in the history books do people remember in ten years time and say o we finished second that year and it was a sucses no they dont

  • craig says:

lfc4life when was the last time lfc won the EPL or have you forgotten none and like any other person will tell you we would not have won EPL with that fat spainish waiter ever bye bye you rafa lover get over it hes gone

  • Lee says:

LFC4LIFE – my first comments regarding your recent post were ‘WTF????’

So basically you are saying that we shouldn’t have sacked Rafa because the next person to come in will take time to settle in. So in effect that means we should have let Rafa run amok, getting his claws deeper and deeper into the club without any silverware for many years without giving someone else a chance to see how they fair?

In summary this means that you have proven my initial point that some fans are completely averse to change?!!

I’m guessing you have never worked in management or big business?!

To counter that point you then infer that I don’t support the players, the staff and that I only support the owners. Again, this only proves that you are as ignorant as you are stupid.

I support the club end of – if the players, manager, staff or owners don’t pull their own weight then they need to go. It seems cliched but no one is bigger than the club.

The owners need to go for poor ownership of the club period. The manager needed to go because he hadn’t won anything for years, the club had falled behind the others (irrespective of our performance the season before), he had lost the dressing room and he’d lost the plot. Some of the players need to go because they just aren’t good enough (i.e. Kuyt, El Zhar, Lucas, Ngog, Insua, Babel etc).

Now that’s a proper view of things, it’s far to easy just to blame one single party.

Best you and many others start to wake up

  • mac says:

    Lee,
Your an absolute disgrace It’s fans like you holding this great club back, 2nd is not where want to be granted but bearing in mind the wages we pay and our transfer budget that’s punching well above our weight. Rafa took us back from European obscurity to being part of the elite and generally feared across Europe. We now have the best keeper, striker and midfielder in the league but still the thick fans like you expect more .

  • Namoddas says:

Well said Lee. Never rated Rafa. Lets be honest we were lucky to win in Istanbul. Hamann wouldn’t have come on if Kewell hadn’t limped off and thats what changed the game. He stopped Kak running midfield. It wasn’t tactical genius by Rafa. And if I remember correctlt in the FA Cup final it was a last minute wonder strike by Stevie that saved our blushes of being beaten by the mighty(not!) West Ham. Both games we won on penalties by the way not through outplaying the opposition.
Rafa has bought some good players (Reina, Torres, Mascherano and Alonso) but he has bought even more dross. Our style of play has been shocking (most of the time) under him. He will do better in Italy where a defensive approach is more common.

As for last year – we should have won. Rafa’s outburst coincided with a dip in form in February which I think lost us the title! Bye bye Rafa.

  • rafagoondu says:

Rafa is the best. In the years as Manager, he got Man U further and further away from pool. Now pool fans bragging … we had enough points and finished second – in other seasons we will have won the league. Haha what a joke. Ya keep talking of such things because pool is nothing buy history. haha.

  • Namoddas says:

rafagoondu – what are doing on a liverpool fan site if we are no threat?

  • Lee says:

Yes Mac, you are so right (he types with tongue firmly planted in cheek).

I must be holding Liverpool back because a) I wanted the manager to leave, b) I want us to get rid of the owners, c) I want us to be shot of the rubbish players Rafa bought and d) I want fans to stop looking to the past.

Ha ha, your comment is laughable.

If you’re talking about clubs punching above their weight then I think you should refer to Fulham, Fiorentina, Lille, Wigan, Reading and Portsmouth – all of whom have a small percentage to spend compared to us yet beat us once or even twice during the past season.

Signing 18million on a right back and 20million on a crocked Italian hardly means we’re punching above our weight. It simply means that our manager lost the plot by hacking off our best player Alonso only to blow all of our money on an injured fool instead of a forward that we blatantly missing.

So even after the countless millions Rafa wasted we only have three players to show for it – a midfielder, a goalie and a striker.

Think you probably need to watch more football sunshine.
