Should we go for Dalglish or Hodgson? This debate on the Reds Board has gone on long enough and Three Common Myths that may have got Rafa the sack: This week on Live4Liverpool.com

|

So it has been another chaotic week at Liverpool Football Club. With the Liverpool board apparently setting their sights on Roy Hodgson, Kenny Dalglish’s family have revealed that he would be willing take on the role of Liverpool manager if he was asked. The clamour for King Kenny to take the job has been fever pitched  and not surprising considering his legendary past at the club. This week at Live4Liverpool.com has seen a vast swathe of opinion on different issues with a focus of course on Kenny Dalglish and Roy Hodgson. The first two articles highlight the difference on opinion on who should be manager, while there have also been other interesting subjects discussed. Sean Mullan talks about the injury worries over Fernando Torres at the World Cup in “Will another long summer take its toll on El Nino?”, Alex Hess reflects on Rafa Benitez’s reign and the myths that were perpetuated in the British media, Mark Wilson talks about what sort of players Liverpool need this summer in “Why we must find players who WANT to play for Liverpool,” while new writer Martyn Minker gives his own feelings on the departure of Benitez: “A shock but it was time for a clean shate.” Have fun reading!

If I had to choose between Kenny Dalglish and Roy Hodgson of I would have chosen Kenny Dalglish.
    Our main priorities should be:
    – Guus Hiddick
    – Felix Magath
    – Louis van Gaal
    – Marcello Lippi
    – Fabio Capello

    Dalglish!

    1. No compensation
    2. Been there doneit seen it in england.
    3. Give it to him provisionally until we find new owners
    4. If he does well we can then give him the role full time.
    5. He wil unite the fans! Some fans are adamant they don’t want Hodgson. But no fans would dare to critisize Dalglish.

  • Clive says:

Live in the past, die in the past! Do you really think we need either? Do you think when Fergie retires ManU they will bring in Bobby Charlton?

  • rassell says:

not living in the past, Daglish will do a brilliant job he will have the players repect and he will play football the way it should be, THE LIVERPOOL WAY i don’t care if we don’t win anything for another couple of years but we need some real football at our club and not this desfensive shakled up team.

Trust me if he does take over then within three years we will be one of the top two blubs in the league us n man city.

please no hodgeson he just had one freak season at fulham don’t mean don’t mean he is good enough to be a liverpol manager, yes he has had lots of experience over the years but what has he ever won…..why get rid of raffa cos by getting hdgeson we will be taking one step foward and five steps back….please hodgeson stay at the club where they want you and leave us alone.

  • rassell says:

    sorry typing error.

Not ‘top two blubs’ but ‘top two clubs’.

  • nick says:

big name managers are only as good as the stock they have. all i hear is go for lippi capello hiddick.go 4 a young fresh up and coming manager i say dont forget fergerson wenger were nobodys when man u and arsenal signed them.look in the coca cola championship 4 our next manager .before you laugh your heads off look were harry redknapp and david moyes came from compare rafas spending compared 2 moyes the signing flops moyes is miles ahead. if moyes had the same money rafa has had over the years everton would be a top 3 club

  • Mikey says:

I just want to see a manager who will make us a force to be reckoned with again, who ever it maybe O’Neil, Hodgson or Dalglish I just want to see us back to the Liverpool of old by winning everything.

  • Rick says:

Although I don’t want to be so cruel in regard of a respectable gentle man & good manager like Roy Hodgson, I have to confess my personal vote for King Kenny Dalglish.
There are lot of reasons to choose Kenny:

    1) Liverpool need a total overhaul in the future and No One Knows as well Liverpool Football CLub & Liverpool Accademy as King Kenny Dalglish
    2) He’s a legend, a charismatic & good man Who has the respect of all Players
    3) He has a huge experience and He can drive the club under the turbulences
    4) I’m too young to remember King Kenny as Player & manager and I whould feel so lucky to see King Kenny at Anfield with my eyes :)))))

    Re-install the fantastic Liverpool Bootroom

Another preferences? Ahhh I’m not so cruel of Mister Roy…
Yes maybe He’s ever worked to Liverpool Levels but No one can say that Mister Roy doesn’t deserve a best chance, at the end of his career, to prove his value..
Hiddink? He’s loyalty to his contracts
Lippi? I don’t like it, the man is a great manager but He’s not suitable to british football
Van Gaal? Hmmm it whould be great to appoint him, ’cause he’s a fantastic manager with good influences on the young players..
O’Neill? The man is a fantastic motivator. I like it. It’s a question of personal preferences mates.
    My short List of candidates:
    1) King Kenny
    2) Louis Van Gaal
    3) Martin O’Neill
    4) Mister Roy

  • Blindside says:

Kenny for short term until situation is clarified.
Roy , a nice guy but too defensive in overall style of play. He never lasted in the top Euro posts beyong a simple holding role until a permanent manager could be appointed. Hiddink has said he is not interested and , and this may grate with some, let’s not be too hasty in ignoring Sven.

  • carlito says:

Roy is the best man at the moment, lets face facts, like any other buisness man whoose business is in crisis would not pick up a general manager who hasn`t work for 10yrs, thats risky cuz, the slightest mistake he makes puts the business in more crisis, kenny could be good but the owners are really doubting him cuz he hasn`t been in coaching for 10 yrs now.

  • scouserJO says:

this time, Kenny Dalglish is the best for manager of LIVERPOOL

  • noel zammit Malta says:

It`s time for daglish now he`s the only one who can save liverpool fc. I think that he will be a success.

  • Michios says:

    Dalglish 4 Liverpool 2010-2011
