Rafa Benitez’s shabby treatment b

After six years of dediation to Liverpool Football Club, his departure was swift and ruthless. BenÃtez said when discussing his departure in an interview with Radio City:
“It was really sad, I was on holiday so it was a surprise that everything was going on in this way, but at the end of the day it has to be like this because Christian Purslow is now in charge and he decided to do it in this way. That is it.”
Hardly the ‘Liverpool way’ of doing things. When Gerrard Houllier was relieved of his duties, the old Liverpool board of David Moores and company held a dignified press conference along with Houllier, thanking him for his time at the club and wishing him well for the future.
That was a luxury not afforded to Rafa Benitez, sadly and our club is all the poorer for it. Hang your head in shame Purslow, why the great haste in sacking the manager when you are taking so long in finding a replacement?

…and one more thing. Although I want a new manager I doesn’t mean that I support the two clowns or Purslow. There is NO connection between those two things.

I think Rafa is a very good manager, but no way he does better than Morinhio and his 2009-10 season of total domination. He won the league, Champ League, and the Copa Itl. cup.
He’ll have to cure cancer!!!!
YNWalkA, and how exactly will he do better than Mourinho? Winning the league, cup and European Cup would not be doing better than Jose. Truth is, he can hardly do better, but he can do worse. What then? What if Rafa achieves less with the team inherited from Jose. Will you then admit that Jose is better or will you find excuses?
ANTEATER……….You CANNOT compare the Italian league with the Premiere, It is much,much easier to win in Italy, who said so? my brother, Di Rossi!!!

If you think their actions can be justified then you know nothing of Liverpool Football Club and have little or no standards on the way the club should conduct its affairs.

Purslow is a disgrace. No one should be standing up for a guy who has constantly briefed the press with lies about Rafa. The guy is a snake and should leave immediately.
Some people have VERY short memories. In many of the seasons, especially 08-09, we were playing fantastic football and ended up the league top scorers. Yes, we know it all went wrong, but EVERY manager has bad seasons – just ask Fergie, Wenger and Ancelloti.
By the way if Wenger hasn’t won anything for 6 years now, he surely should be worried for his job. It is also clear that for 3 of the seasons Rafa was with us he finished above Wenger. But Wenger is STILL with Arsenal???
Rafa did a rubbish job at Liverpool, wasted shed loads of money, played games through the media and hacked off some of our better players……he should have been sacked a long time ago.
Only complete morons who have no idea about football or are averse to change would support Rafa.
Fact is he was sacked so Rafa is hardly going to talk nice about Purslow is he?!
