Agent: “He wants to stay as a Liverpool player”

|

Liverpool Krisztian Nemeth’s agent Tibor Pataky has told the Liverpool Echo that the striker wants to stay at Anfield. Nemeth spent last season out on loan at AEK Athens and there has been speculation over a £1million move to Lecce in Italy but Pataky believes Nemeth wants to stay at the club:

“Krisztian has a very clear opinion; he wants to stay as a Liverpool player, and his wish is to be successful as a Liverpool player, if Liverpool will give him a chance to fight. For now he is back at Melwood, he is working hard and looking forward. If he feels he will get a chance to make the jump into the first team, he will do everything he can to do so. But if not, then he is happy to go for maybe half a season to another club on loan. There have been no discussions with Roy Hodgson yet, but we know a lot about the philosophy of the manager from (Hungarian Fulham player) Zoltan Gera. But we must stress, first it is for Liverpool FC to decide on Krisztian’s future. He has complete faith in the club. If they want him to return to AEK, then we will think about it. If they want him to go to one of the Italian clubs who are showing an interest, then we will think about it. He trusts himself of course, but he is also realistic. If Liverpool say he can fight for a first team place, then he will do so. If not, he will respect their decisions.”

Former MTK Hungaria forward Nemeth was left out of Roy Hodgson’s pre-season squad which flew out to Switzerland yesterday and he will need to fight for his inclusion in Hodgson’s plans if he wants to stay at the club.

IF WE HAVE NO MONKY AND WE HAVE JUST KUYT TORRES AND THE NEW SERBIAN FREEBIE, THEN WE NEED ANOTHER TOP FRONTMAN, AS THE NEW GUY IS NOT A DIRECT FRONTMAN, GET CROUCH BACK

He is a good young player and I think we should keep hold of him. He was Hungary’s wonderkid when he came to us and maybe hasn’t lived up to the hype as yet but the lad needs a chance. I’m surprised Roy Hodgson left him out of the squad that’s gone to Switzerland, considering we are short of goalscorers barring Nando. You would think he’d at least want to see him training for period of time.
I have faith in Roy Hodgson though, he has an excellent managerial record.

Nemeth is class along with Pacheco, they are genuine alternatives and substantially better than NGOG, play him Roy…..

I like this guy and the agent, it makes a change hearing them saying it is up to liverpool fc to decide what happens. it just shows that not every agent and player for LFC are *********(Make of them stars what you will) . i have heard a lot of good things about nemeth, and in time he will be class, i dont think that another season away on loan will do him any harm, i would suggest a team in france, because there league is more like ours than the greek, spanish or italian leagues. Loan him to a half decent club for a year, get him more confidnet playing on a bigger stage, even just for 6 months, and this guy could save us millions. 🙂 YNWA

    Nemeth to stay…

I was disappointed to see Nemeth go out on loan last year after scoring 2 goals in a pre-season game. I couldn’t understand the logic of it. Not every goalscorer has to have blistering pace. I hope Liverpool keep him & give him a chance to show what he can do. My fear is that Hodgson doesn’t know a lot about the reserve players, guys like Nemeth, Pacheco, Amoo and Eccleston who show promise.

I think Ngog and nemeth will be sold and Dirk Kuyt may be a possibility to follow.
