Reds to let go of striker for £6m?

|

According to Alan Nixon in the Daily Mirror, Liverpool want £6m for their young French striker David Ngog. Despite lacking numbers in the forward positions, Roy Hodgson is prepared to let the player go to raise funds for new players. Speaking today to Liverpool fc.tv, Hodgson said:

“There’s a lot more work to do, a lot more players needed and we as a football team have got to make certain that when we take to the field the supporters will see there is something different and that we are making the biggest effort we can make.”

The player, according to the Mirror, has already been touted around Premier League and European clubs and West Brom have already confirmed they are interested in the player on a loan deal, while Newcastle United and Bolton Wanderers have also said to have made enquiries about the player.

Be lucky to get a million.. He is rubbish. I would love to know who these coaches and scouts are. 90% of football players cant play to save their lives. Rubbish

Why is there an M after the £6 ?

Think we’re a bit optomistic asking for more than a fiver.

He still is worth something i think 4 to 5 mill is fair the 8 goals he scored was up on a lot of older more credentialed strikers and is only21.

Think thats the starting fee, we will end up with around 4.5 mill which will still see yet another profit on a player brought and sold, i like this guy, but we havent time to give him time, we need a top frontman in to either take the pressure of nando and all really, so if we can recoup some cash then id flog him, not that i think hes that bad, he is just not what we need if torres is out and kuyt is out wide, sell him asap and get the money, think you might find hime going back to france? or newcastle or loan at west brom

    Def keep him.

Scored more than Owen and only 4 less than Berbatov.

8 goals is a decent return for a player so young.
