Kenny Huang’s business partner at SportsCorps China Marc Ganis has stated that if he and Huang were to make a formal offer for Liverpool Football Club, they wouldn’t want to enrich current owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks:
“We haven’t submitted a formal proposal but we submitted the broad parameters of what a proposal would look like to see if it would be welcomed, and it was. What is not one of our goals is the enrichment of the existing owners. If we submit a proposal and it is accepted, it would be focused on the future and not the past.”
Replying to whether he would meet Tom Hicks’ valuation of the club rumoured to be near £600m, Ganis replied:
“If anybody wants to (bid that sum), good luck. We know what we would be prepared to do. If somebody else wants to look at it in a different way, it’s their money. That would be their business, not ours.From what we have seen from afar, many of the people currently running Liverpool are doing a good job. There shouldn’t be an expectation there would be a mass upheaval if we submit and we are approved.”
Maybe their a hoax (hope not)so that the other bidders bid more. Maybe their waiting for others to make the first bid, although i hear the Indian bid has already been made. I wouldn’t expect a bid more than 450 million from any of the bidders even thats too much. Just as long as the Yanks are out before the start of the season…YNWA
I think everyone is playing this end game gambit prudently. The Chinese and sneaky Kurdi has revealed themselves. The Rhones group are just in for PR, they won’t buy. The Indian group is so far testing the water but the dark horses Al-Khalifa and Al-Maktum is so quiet…hmm…what are they thinking of? I find this Keith Harris commented that Huang’s bid is too cheap lol. You must be a stupid fool to try to start a price war. Even Al-Khalifa and Al-Maktum won’t pay more to those yank whores because they don’t deserve it. So this Keith Harris is trying to create opportunities for himself to sway attention to Glaziers.
